"Basket. An 11 inch in diameter by 15 inch tall flexible basket with a braided handle, made from cedar roots and bark, varying in shades from light to dark brown. The lightest design running through the center is of the bark. The rim is scalloped and motif is carried out in the design of the basket. It was made by the Snohomish Indians Tulalip Agency, Tulalip, Washington. The Indians of the Northwest use the following weaves in basketry; twined, plaited, and coiled." This basket has 8 x 4 stitches per inch.
