Purse: Purse handle, 3" wide, 1 3/4" tall, in the shape of a half circle. The handle is bronze metal. It has engraved flowers and leaves and a raised bronze metal flower in the center on each side. There are small holes along the bottom of the handle to attach it to the body of the purse. It has hinges at the bottom and a slit along the top and sides so that the two handles can come apart, but the handles are rusted shut. The inside of the handle is rusted and tarnished. Some of the bronze color on the outside of the handle is faded off. Belonged to Lars L. Gjemse, brought from Norway in 1857.
