"This Kiowa Indian Dance Doll stands at an angle, with one leg raised, on a wooden block, and altogether measures 10 and 3/4 inches high. A round beaded headdress wits on his black hair, falling in a braid on either side of his face. He wears a tan buckskin suit, heavily beaded, and beaded buckskin gauntlets. White rabbit fur decorates the cuff of his trousers. On his back at the waist is a fan of bird feathers. When the real Kiowas, who are famous for their ceremonial and hoop dances, wear these feathers, they gyrate spectacularly as the dancers move."
