Description
"Napkins (2). 16 by 14 1/2 inches, these napkins are of fine white cotton with squares of designs in each of the four corners, done in different combinations of pink, red, blue and wheat. These napkins are student designed. When a New York firm wanted to make table runners and napkins for our student dining rooms, I said, "why not have a little contest and have the Indian students send in their own designs?" All of the designs turned out beautifully. The ones you see on these napkins are those that took first prize! The New York firm made up screens to mass produce these pieces and sold them commercially, as well as supplying the Indian student's dining rooms."
