DescriptionFlintlock / percussion Musket. A Model 1816 .69 caliber smooth bore musket made in Harpers Ferry in 1834. It has been converted from a flintlock to a percussion cap. It has the muzzle loading equipment and hooks for a sling. This model was used by the Texans in the Texas revolution, the US in the Mexican-American war and in the early part of the Civil War. There is no bayonet included. The letters JDM have been stamped in the side.
