Description
Ceramic serving bowl; slightly-flattened, scalloped rim edged with maroon; a thin line of maroon at inner edge of rim is connected to the outer rim with four straight lines which divide the rim into quarters; a floral pattern is centered within each quarter of the rim; a fifth floral pattern is at bottom center. Glaze is severely crazed and somewhat discolored; a crack runs from the rim to the bottom of the bowl; a .31 in. long chip is missing from the outer edge of the crack on the underside of the rim; a chip is missing from the foot of the bowl. Association of this artifact with this donor is not certain, however, according to former curator Carol Day, the way the artifacts are listed on this page do associate artifacts with no donor listed with the last donor listed.
