"A 9 inch in diameter by 6 1/2 inch high basket with cover and handle. This was woven by Mrs. Josephine Campbell, a Hoopa, of willow, grass and maiden-hair fern. The black triangle and line design is the maiden-hair fern. There is a loop on the cover." This basket has 17 rows of 12 stitches per inch.
Small book titled "Japanese Phrase Book." The book has orange covers printed in white, white pages printed in black, and a stapled spine. Seen on the front cover is the title, a symbol of the War Department, and information noting that the book contained restricted material. The piece is 184 pages long and includes a table of contents, introduction, and use instructions. It is divided into 12 sections: emergency expressions, general expressions, personal needs, location and terrain, roads and transportation, communications, reconnaissance, landing an airplane, numbers, size, time, etc., additional terms, important signs, and an alphabetical word list.
