This basket has a natural-colored root exterior, with light tan grass, reddish-brown manzanita or alder and black maiden-hair fern woven into a geometric design on the inside of the basket. It is 12 inches in diameter by 5 inches high. It was made by Mrs. Delia Carpenter, a Hoopa Indian, and was used for many years to hold sifted corn meal. This basket has 13 rows of 9 stitches per inch.
