"Sash. This bright red sash, 70 inches long without the fringes, was done by a Hopi man for a Hopi woman. The Hopi men do all the weaving. In fact, the men of the groom's family are expected to weave the entire wedding trousseau for the bride. This sash has a center design of red and white, flanked on each side by a vertical green stripe. The fringes are red, green, red and white striped, and green and red striped."
